Can an old Jordan house be vented without rebuilding the soffit?
Sometimes. If there is any depth at the eave, vented drip edge or a smaller intake vent can get air in without rebuilding the overhang. If the rafters land straight on the wall plate with no room at all, the honest answer is that intake there is limited, and we would put the effort into insulation and air sealing instead.
