Proven PVC Roofing in Victoria, MN
There is not a lot of low slope commercial roof in Victoria, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. What is here is small: a strip of retail with a kitchen or two, a church or office building, a shop behind a business. Those roofs still take the same hail that got photographed here at tennis ball size in August 2020.

Hail sets the spec on a small roof
Victoria buildings are mostly newer, so a flat roof here is often the original membrane on a steel deck, still inside its first stretch of life. The August 2020 storm is what changes that. Tennis ball hail photographed in town is bigger than the golf ball stones that hit most of the metro, and stones that size bruise the insulation under a membrane even when nothing leaks that week. We open the roof at the strike marks and look at the board. If the facer is crushed, the membrane is riding on nothing and it splits at the next hard freeze. When we do replace, we go thicker on the sheet and firmer on the cover board than a calm site would need. On buildings with no kitchen and no chemical exhaust, EPDM roofing is often the smarter buy, and we will say so out loud.

What a hail struck Victoria roof needs
Thicker sheet where hail lands
The DNR record for August 9, 2020 notes tennis ball hail photographed in Victoria. On a roof that took stones that size we spec a heavier membrane over a firm board, not the thinnest sheet that passes.
Small roofs done in one visit
A roof of a few squares does not need a week of mobilization. We bring what the job takes, tear off and dry it in the same day where weather allows, and get off your lot.
Staging that respects the trees
The tree ordinance adopted in 1996 protects significant trees of eight caliper inches or more. We settle where the boom sits and where debris drops before day one, so nothing protected gets hit.
Edges that sit high over grade
Walkout and lookout levels put roof edges well above sloping ground. Anchor points, ladder placement and the fall plan get worked out for that grade before anybody carries material up.
Insulation upgraded while it is open
The roof only comes off once. If the existing board is thin or wet, adding insulation while the deck is bare is far easier than revisiting it later, and the building holds heat better in February.
Snow and drift at the low edge
Wooded rolling ground means shade and drifting, so snow sits longer on the north side. We keep the drainage path clear of the drift zone and detail the low edge for March meltwater.
Why small commercial jobs get real attention
Small jobs get a real quote
A roof of a few squares still gets a walk, a measurement and a written number. We do not sort work by size or pad a small job to justify the trip out.
Access is planned, not improvised
Wooded lots with protected trees and sloping grade leave few spots for a lift. Staging and debris handling get settled with you before a crew and a truck show up at the door.
We show you the core cut
When we open the roof at a strike, we photograph what is under it and show you. You should see a crushed facer with your own eyes rather than take a roofer at his word.
Family run and straight with you
We are family run and faith based, and the quickest way to lose that is selling a roof nobody needs. If yours has years left in it, we will tell you to wait.
Written scope you can compare
Estimates are free and carry no obligation. You get the scope, the membrane thickness and the details in writing so a second bid can be read line for line against ours.

Victoria hail and flat roof questions
What people in Victoria ask us about this work. If yours is not covered, call and ask.
My Victoria building took tennis ball hail. Does the flat roof need replacing if it is not leaking?
Maybe not, but it needs opening up. Stones that size crush the insulation facer under an intact membrane, and a roof can look fine for two winters before it splits along the bruises. We cut cores at the strike marks and show you the board. If the board is sound, we patch and you keep the roof.
Is my building in Victoria too small for a commercial roofing crew?
No. Most low slope work in Victoria is small: a strip of retail, a shop behind a business, a church addition. Small roofs go quickly, and they still deserve a proper edge detail and a real fastening pattern. We measure, quote and schedule them the same way we do a big one.
Will the tree ordinance change how you get equipment to my roof?
It can. Significant trees of eight caliper inches or more have been protected here since 1996, so a boom cannot simply park wherever is convenient on a wooded lot. We look at the approach first, pick a spot that works, and use a smaller lift or carry material by hand where the site requires it.
Have the hail damage looked at
If your flat roof took hail in Victoria and nobody has opened it up yet, we will cut cores, photograph what is under the strikes, and quote only the work that is actually needed.
