Those valleys throw water and ice at the wall below all winter, and the siding under them is usually the first to go soft. Will fiber cement hold up to the wind on the Savage bluff?
Yes, when it is nailed to the schedule for that exposure. Fiber cement is heavy and gets fastened into framing, so it does not catch air and peel the way a vinyl panel can. The failures we see on wind exposed walls up here are almost always fastening and flashing, not the board itself.
